A
native Texan with an endless passion for catching fish, I have
been fishing the Gulf Coast for over thirty years. Whether I
am prowling the grass lined shores of a backwater marsh, wading
the clear green water of the summertime surf, or working any
of the many tidal flats, reefs and jetties that the Texas Coast
has to offer, there is simply no place I would rather be.
I
am a member of the American Rodsmiths pro kayak team www.arkayakteam.com,
and I also represent Liquid Logic Kayaks www.liquidlogickayaks.com.
I enjoy competing in various fishing tournaments throughout
the year. I fish to win, but usually settle for less. The many
new friends I have made along the way are worth much more than
the glory of a first place finish. I support and practice catch
and release, but I don't mind taking home a bag of fresh fillets
for dinner once in a while.
When
I began tying, I quickly found myself consumed with the endless
possibilities. There is just something magical about starting
with a bare hook and ending up with a fish catching work of
art.
The flies available on this site are some of my favorites. Each
one tied with my local adversaries in mind (Flounder, Redfish,
& Spotted Sea Trout), but I have sold them from coast to
coast, and even as far away as New Zealand.
I use only quality materials and premium hooks. I tie them one
at a time, paying specific attention to detail from start to
finish. I take pride in what I do, and I believe that it is
reflected in my products.
